With the added weight of a trike you also need added stopping power to slow it down. For this ROADSMITH relies on automotive-grade dual-disc brakes. We use a commonly used VW and Porsche application for easier access to replacement parts. Some other manufactures make their own custom parts, we believe that ‘off-the-shelf’ parts are better for the owner in the long run.
For bikes that originally had integrated brakes front and rear we continue to utilize them. And following along the same line, if the bike had ABS as original equipment we will keep that functioning as well.
